Dear Advanced Placement Students and Parents: 

We are thrilled that you have made the decision to challenge yourself academically through the Advanced Placement (AP) program.  AP is a program of college-level courses and examinations that offers high school students a unique opportunity to potentially earn college credit.  Each year in May, students across the country take the AP examinations. As a student in the AP Program at Bayside High School, you are expected to take the AP exam. 

Students taking AP exams must register and pay for exams by Monday, November 8, 2021. Students register at myap.collegeboard.org using the join code provided by the AP teacher.  Students must also register/pay for the exams at Total Registration.  For the 2022 AP Exams, the cost is $96 per exam. AP Seminar costs $144.00. Families have the option to pay a $40 deposit per exam by November 8, 2021.  The remaining balance will be due by Monday, March 7, 2022 or the exam will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. 

If you qualify for the free/reduced lunch program, you are eligible for an AP exam fee waiver and can take the AP exam for free. Although school meals are being provided free to all children, a new meal application must be completed for the 2021-2022 school year.  Applications are available online at SchoolCafe. Students must register online and indicate they qualify for the free/reduced lunch program in Total Registration by the November 8, 2021 deadline.  AP Exam registration will be pending until free/reduced lunch status is confirmed by Bayside High School. 
Registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.  To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions.  Please be sure to have a credit or debit card available before beginning registration.  We know that parents may desire to register their students for exams; however, we strongly recommend that parents and students complete the registration process together to ensure that the correct exams are ordered.

AP Student Check List
Sign in to myap.collegeboard.org using your College Board student account login. If you don’t have a student account, click the Sign Up link.
Click the Join a Course or Exam button and enter the join code your teacher gave you.
Indicate on MY AP that you will be taking the AP exam in May 2022.*
Register and pay at least a $40 deposit for each AP exam by November 8, 2021 at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/472285.
Pay the balance in full by March 7, 2022 at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/472285.
If you do not wish to take the AP exam, do not make payment through Total Registration. Your registration in MYAP will be cancelled before November 15th.

*Registration for AP exams is not complete until you pay your balance in full through Total Registration.
